Greenleaf Communities is excited to join VoLo Foundation’s Florida Climate WeekSM, an annual event on climate solutions for the state of Florida. The free virtual summit will take place on April 19th to 23rd around Earth Day, convening industry leaders, front-line advocates, businesses and individuals to discuss actions that will protect our planet for future generations. To register and access the full agenda, please visit www.floridaclimateweek.org.
“The moment to turn the conversation into action is now, and that is what Florida Climate Week is all about. We have teamed up with a group of respected organizations to provide valuable and trustworthy data and information that will empower participants to take action and mitigate the impact of climate change in our communities,” said Thais Lopez Vogel, co-founder of VoLo Foundation.
The biggest piece of the climate solutions puzzle is a meaningful price on carbon to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy. A carbon fee and dividend plan ensures a fair transition, and if integrated within a Global Climate Compact it can galvanize and unite the world’s economies to mitigate climate change. Listen to our Climate Lead, Francine van den Brandeler, frame these solutions together with six international climate science and policy experts at 10am EDT on Thursday, April 22nd.
The curated agenda includes over 40 exclusive events addressing a wealth of topics including, Civil Engagement, Carbon Tax and Dividend, Clean Energy Solutions, Agriculture Innovation and Technology Solutions, and Reducing Your Environmental Impact, among others. Please click here to access the full list of confirmed events, including:
- Tracking Progress on Clean Energy Solutions - Hosted by Southern Alliance for Clean Energy - This panel will discuss trends in clean energy solutions and will address whether or not the power sector is decarbonizing at a rate adequate enough to mitigate the climate crisis.
- Climate Advocate Training - Hosted by Citizen's Climate Lobby (CCL) – This workshop will break through the myth that we cannot make a difference and will inspire attendees by highlighting the positive change CCL volunteers are making throughout the world.
- Urban Agriculture to Combat Climate Change - Hosted by Ideas for Us – This session will share information on how farming and urban agriculture can work towards combating climate change as well as other social and environmental challenges throughout Florida.

The keynote event of Florida Climate WeekSM will be the third annual Climate CorrectionTM conference and Greenleaf is pleased to be a part of that line-up as well. Through a series of panels, this symposium will discuss data about climate change and will share ideas, cutting-edge research, technological innovations, and solutions to accelerate positive global change. Climate CorrectionTM will take place virtually on April 23rd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm EDT.
